On a cold and windy morning on April 27, 2019, members of the community banded together to clean up Park Royal in the annual Park Royal Community Clean Up.

Tim Horton’s cups and lids, bags of dog poop, Styrofoam, yogurt containers, food wrappers, roof shingles, car parts, and children’s underwear are just some of the items collected by the community volunteers at the 2019 Park Royal Community Clean Up on April 27, 2019.

It was a cold late April morning, with temperatures barely above zero degrees Celsius, filled with lots of bone chilling wind. The event was organized by the Park Royal Community Association with the support of Ward 2 Councillor Karen Ras. The City of Mississauga supplied the garbage bags and gloves and the volunteers spread out across Park Royal. Areas of focus were along Bromsgrove Road, Sheridan Creek, Benedet Drive and Hillside Park.

A sample of the garbage collected on April 27, 2019 and left at Bodmin Road and Truscott Drive for the City of Mississauga to collect. A second drop off point was on Bromsgrove Road.
