In the morning of Friday, December 7, 2018 a passerby near Meadows Park found the body of  a male 14-year-old Clarkson Secondary School student. Peel Police are investigating his death as a homicide.

This tragic event has stunned and saddened the community.

Members of the community wishing to express their sadness and to remember the victim are asked to go to the Clarkson Community Centre. The grassy area in front of the community centre along Truscott Drive is designated as an area to gather with friends, leave notes, light candles, or bring flowers.

Members of the community are asked to use the Clarkson Community Centre instead of areas around Meadow Park as the Police have an active investigation going on. We also ask that community members not organize around the victim’s home so his family be given the chance to grieve privately while knowing the community is here for them.

Future updates will follow.
