On Monday, October 26, 2026, the residents of Park Royal have an opportunity to vote for the next mayor of Mississauga, our Ward 2 councillor, and school trustees for english public and english separate school boards.

With so many candidates and multiple positions to vote for, it can take a while to review the candidates and their platforms. We wanted to compile a resource for the residents of Park Royal to make the process earlier and save you time with less than a week before the election.

Voting is a bit different this time, as voters will receive a ballot to insert into an electronic voting machine. Voters select their choices on the screen and then their votes are printed on their ballot. Voters then hand their ballot in to be tabulated.

Mayor

There have been numerous mayoral debates hosted across the city and recorded for you to view.

Food Banks Mississauga & The Metamorphosis Network

Held on October 1, 2026 and airing on CityNews, this debate focused on affordability, food insecurity, poverty alleviation, and housing security.

Town of Port Credit Association (TOPCA) & Lakeview Ratepayers Association

Held on October 15, 2026, this community debate gave residents an opportunity to hear the mayoral candidates discuss their plans and respond to community questions.

Muslim Community Mayoral Debate

Held on October 13, this debate provided another opportunity for residents to hear the candidates’ positions on municipal issues. The event featured resident questions and was streamed online.

This event featured candidates Dipika Damerla, Bonnie Crombie, and Alvin Tedjo. Current Mississauga Mayor Carolyn Parrish did not attend.

Mississauga Board of Trade

On September 25, 2026, the Mississauga Board of Trade hosted a mayoral debate in partnership with CBC News, giving residents an opportunity to hear candidates discuss their priorities and vision for Mississauga’s future.

From economic growth and local businesses to housing, infrastructure, and responsible city-building, these discussions matter because the decisions made at City Hall affect every neighbourhood—including Ward 2.

Ward 2 Councillor

The Sheridan Homelands Ratepayers Associaton (SHORA) hosted an event to meet Mississauga Ward 2 candidates at Thornlodge Park on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.

The Mississauga Residents' Association Network (MIRANET)—of which the Park Royal Community Association belongs—posted a video of the event to their YouTube channel MIRANETtalks. The video allows you to skip to listen to those candidates you are most interested to learn more about.
