PRCA Community Clean Up

We live in a lovely neighbourhood, but sometimes it can get a bit messy with litter laying around our streets and parks.

Pitch in and keep our community beautiful and clean!

In the spirit of Earth Day, we are organizing a community clean up on Saturday, April 27th. We will pick up litter on the main streets of Park Royal like Truscott and Bromsgrove, as well as along the banks of Sheridan Creek, the Nine Creeks Trail and local parks.

It’s a great way to meet your neighbours and do your part to keep the community clean. Rubber gloves and garbage bags will be provided. To participate, join us at 10 a.m. at the Park Royal Plaza sign at 2425 Truscott Drive.

Dozens of volunteers participated in past clean ups, collecting over 40 bags of litter each year.

Participation in the event counts towards high school community hours. The PRCA is happy to vouch for high school students participating in the event.

Please RSVP to the Facebook event to help us keep track of how many people will be participating, and to stay informed about last minute updates.

It is important to exercise caution. Wear gloves and use a picker (if possible). Do not pick up any litter with your bare hands.. Do not pick up any sharps (needles, razors) and if you do see them, call 311.
