Park Royal Updates for May 2026
Park Royal Community Clean Up this Saturday
Our annual Park Royal community clean-up is this Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 10 a.m. at the Park Royal Plaza sign on Truscott Drive. If you would like to join us, we have further details here.
Townhouse Development Building Permit Being Finalized
Dunpar Homes submitted a request for their building permit to build 166 back-to-back townhouses at the former site of Elmcrest Public School (2620 Chalkwell Close). The building permit application has been reviewed by the City of Mississauga and has been returned with comments to Dunpar Homes. The building permit has not been issued by the City of Mississauga as of yet. Dunpar Homes are hoping to finalize the building permit soon to begin construction this summer.
Fireside chat with MPP Rudy Cuzzetto
The Park Royal Community Association will be hosting a fireside chat with our Mississauga-Lakeshore Member of Provincial Parliament Rudy Cuzzetto on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 7 p.m. at Lorne Park Hall (1288 Lorne Park Road).
The evening is aimed at having a conversation with Rudy Cuzzetto about our community and the concerns and opportunities we have. We aim to focus on the following topics:
- Clarkson GO residential and commercial development plans, including plans for condominium and apartment development.
- Air quality and the Ash Grove Cement Plant.
- Potential sale of the water treatment plan.
- Chalkwell Close townhouse development and changes to the appeal process.
- Proposed Bill 98: Building Homes and Improving Transportation Infrastructure Act, 2026
Park Royal Community Association members and non-members are invited to attend. If there is a topic you would like added to the chat, please email us at [email protected] and we'll work on fitting it in.
PRCA Annual Yard Sale set for Saturday, June 20, 2026
We have selected Saturday, June 20, 2026, to be the date for the Park Royal community-wide yard sale. The epicentre of the sale will again be the Park Royal Bible Church at 2400 Truscott Drive (from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.); however, there may be many hubs of bargain hunting activity. There will be featured sales tables at the Park Royal Bible Church. Parking will be available across the street at the Park Royal Plaza and along side streets off of Truscott Drive.
Residents and businesses throughout Park Royal are encouraged to also participate by setting up their own yard sale on their property.
We are starting to take reservations for tables at the Park Royal Bible Church. The price remains $20 for PRCA members and $30 for non-members. Please email us at [email protected] to book a table.
